Unity Grove Elementary Media Festival
 

The UGE media festival fosters and stimulates student interest and involvement in all types of media production. Students learn techniques, have their work critiqued by a panel of expert judges, show their work to an interested audience, and have fun watching projects created by other students.

Projects may progress through three successive levels: building, system, and state. Entries must be evaluated at each level and must receive a superior rating of 96 or higher in order to proceed to the next level.
 
Typically, to create a project that will earn a superior rating from judges requires several months.  Students will be introduced to guidelines for the Media Festival in the media center and will begin the brainstorming process in media; however, much of the project must be done at home.  When completed, students meet with Mrs. Olden for editing suggestions.  Mrs. Olden will help students with paperwork and submission.
